Julia Mae Cockfield, the daughter of the Late Willis Mckenzie and Julia Smith McKenzie was born January 25th, 1957 of Olanta, South Carolina. She was preceded in death by brothers: Columbus Mckenzie and Louis McKenzie and sister: Maggie L. McKenzie.

She received her formal education in the public schools of Florence County.

As a young adult, she accepted Christ as her personal savior and joined Beulah Mission Holiness Church. She would later join St. Peter Believers Holiness Church of Florence, South Carolina where she served as a faithful member until her health declined.

Julia Mae was a loving wife, sister and friend. She had a loving heart and cared deeply for everyone she met. She was always willing to share advice and help when she could. She touched the lives of so many people. She will truly be missed by her family and friends.

On Tuesday, September 24th, 2024, Julia Mae Cockfield entered into eternal rest at her home of Florence, South Carolina.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, her husband: Jerry Cockfield; two sisters: Katherine M. Peterson and Julia M. Atkinson both of Scranton, SC; Mother-in-law: Mary E. McFadden of Olanta, SC; six sister-in-laws: Essie McKenzie, Letha Mae McKenzie, Patsy McFadden (Charles Smith) all of Lake City, SC, Sylvester Burgess of Ashville, NC, Ella (Michael) James of Florence, SC and Amy McFadden of Coward, SC; eight brother-in-laws: David (Lekesha) McFadden of Myrtle Beach, SC, Timmy (Vanessa) McFadden of Concord, NC, David McFadden, Mickey (Eula) McFadden, Randy (Judy) McFadden all of Lake City, SC, Clarence McFadden of Myrtle Beach, SC, Anthony McFadden and Chris McFadden both of Columbia, SC; God-daughter: Roslind Brown and children: Nijia Brown and Joshua Brown. Robert Lyde, she raised as her son. Three very special close and dear friends: Mrs. Laura Jamerson, Jennifer and Ronald. A host of nieces, nephews, friends and caregivers.
