Forever In Our Hearts, Remembering The Life of Julia James. She was born December 12th, 1959, to the Late Willie and Catherine Hanna. She passed away on June 2nd, 2025 at MUSC Black River Hospital of Cades, SC.
Julia loved to spend time with family, cooking and listening to music, talking junk about people, but most of all she was a loving caring person. Julia loved the Washington Commanders and to talk about the Cowboys, Green Bay Packers, and The Eagles.
Julia attended school in Camerontown SC. She then married the love of her life, Roosevelt James of Kingstree SC, for they have been married for 46 years. To that marriage they were blessed with two loving children, Roosevelt James Jr. (Angela Wilt) of Lake City, SC and Jessie (Henerietta) James of Lake City, SC; Special Nieces: Francina Kinsey, Dora Cockfield, Peggy Hanna, Destiny Hanna, Tammy Hanna and her Special Nephews: Anthony Hanna and Charles Douglas Kinsey of Washington.
She proceed in death by her Father and Mother Willie and Catherine Hanna; five sisters: the Betty and Charles Edwards both of Johnsonville SC, Earline and Roylee Turner of Lake City,SC , Martha (Sye Turner) of Lake City, SC, Pattie Hanna and Lillie Mae (Rolen) Davis of Lake City, SC, and three brothers: Ezekial and Marie Hanna of Lake City,SC and Willie Hanna AKA “Mack” of Lake City, SC and Booker T. Cooper of Lake City, SC.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband: Roosevelt James; her sons: Roosevelt James Jr., and Jessie James; her loving daughter-in-laws: Heneriette James and Angela Wilt of the home; and her sister: Cynthia Graham; and one brother: Davis Hanna of Lake City, SC; her sister-in-laws: Marie Hanna of Lake City, SC, Lina Fulton, Geneva McCrea of Kingstree, SC, Linda James, Lou Esther James of Gainesville, FL; her special nieces: Francina Kinsey, Dora Cockfield, Peggy Hanna, Destiny Hanna, Tammy Hanna; and her special nephews: Anthony Hanna and Charles Douglas of Lake City. SC, Daishun Hanna of Washington; and a very Thank You to her sister-in-law, caregiver, and friend: Linda Fulton. She loved all of her nieces and nephews, friends and family.
