On March 18, 1982, in Lake City, South Carolina, Kimberly Elaine Fulmore was born to the Late Norma Jean Godwin Fulmore and the Late Ernest Lee Fulmore. Kimberly known as “Kimmie” was known for her laughter, smile and as a warm hearted Mother. On November 24, 2025 Kimberly entered eternal rest in Kingstree, SC with the Lord.
At an early age Kimberly became a member of Mt, Beulah U.M. Church. Kimberly was educated in the schools of Florence County, SC, graduated from Lake City High School of Lake City, SC Class of 2000. After high school she attended Claflin College University, Orangeburg, SC. Afterwards she was employed as a CNA where she enjoyed assisting and taking care of people. Followed by her employment by Nan Ya Plastics of Lake City, SC until her health began to fade. Despite her illness and medical challenges Kimberly refused to let her condition bring her down.
Kimberly is preceded in death by her grandparents: Robert Godwin, Ernest Fulmore, Sr. & Verlie Fulmore; Uncle: Roosevelt Fulmore, Sr.; Aunt: Joan Fulmore; Cousin: Donna Godwin Williams and Kellie Williams.
Kimberly’s greatest joy was her daughter Akeira. A conversation could not be held without her bringing Akeira name into the conversation. Kimberly’s warmth, and unforgettable personality will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Kimberly leaves behind a family that deeply cherishes her memory: Her devoted daughter Akeira Shaunice Fulmore of the home, Kingstree, SC; grandmother: Geneva Godwin of Lake City, SC; stepmother: Patricia Blake Fulmore of Lake City, SC; brothers: Ernest Lavern Fulmore of Effingham, SC, and Christopher (Dawnyelle) Fulmore of Pamplio, SC; sister: Jaleese (Issiah) Bowman of Columbia, SC; stepsister: Latoria Blake of Florence, SC; stepbrothers: the Late Ferdinand Fulmore and Darien (Nina) Blake of Florence, SC; aunts: Betty McClam, Mary Nell Fulnore and Barbara Barr all of Lake City, SC; uncles: Fontell Godwin, Lake City, SC, Ray (Gwendolyn) Fulmore and Michael Fulmore all of Florence, SC; special friends: Angela Canteen of Lake City, SC and Quanda Alston of Sumter, SC. Kimberly also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
