IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Laura
Wallace
August 12, 1960 – January 17, 2026
“The future Is not ours to know, and it may never be-so let us live and give our best, never anticipating or doubting the power of our Savior asking nothing of tomorrow except.” Thy Will Be Done.
A Journey Begins
We pause to pay tribute to one so dear. Her smiling face, kind words, her love and dedication to her family, and community will ever linger in our memories. She will ever be near us, though unseen. Her influence will always live in the lives of those who were a part of her dash.
A Time to be Born
Mrs. Laura Ann Singletary-Wallace daughter of the late Mr. Freddie Singletary, Sr., and Mrs. Christina Wilson-Singletary. She was born in Williamsburg County, SC and departed her earthly life on January 17, 2026 at Medical University of South Carolina.
A Time to Grow
In her early childhood, she accepted Christ as her personal Savior. She received her education in the Florence County public school system. In her professional life, she was a dedicated and hardworking presence at Scranton Nursing Home, where she served in food services for numerous years. She served as a dedicated and faithful member of St. Stephen’s Baptist Church for 42 years, where her devotion was felt by all who knew her. Whether lifting her voice in the Gospel Choir, serving as a faithful Usher, or supporting the ministry from the pews, she remained steadfast in her commitment to the Lord until her health no longer permitted her active service. Though her physical strength faded, her spiritual light never dimmed.
A Time to Mourn
Ann, as she was lovingly and affectionately called by her family and many friends, was a very special person that always enjoyed helping others. Her devotion is evident in her contributions and dedication to God. Her altruistic nature, spontaneous humor, and unique wit are only a few of the traits she leaves as lasting memories to shine through her loved ones.
On Saturday morning January 17, 2026, God saw the road was getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb. So, He summoned Mrs. Wallace to enter the fuller life at the Medical University of South Carolina.
