Mrs. Lonnie Pearl McClam was born and raised in Lake City, South Carolina, the beloved daughter of the late Mary and Michael Singletary. She attended Carver High School and, in her early years, devoted herself wholeheartedly to home-making and caring for her family.
She is predeceased by Thomas Singletary, Lavern Singletary, Stella Singletary Willie Mae Singletary and Lewis Singletary and survived by siblings: Betty Singletary and Jean Singletary.
She was an active member of New Bethlehem Baptist Church. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures spending time with family, watching Wheel of Fortune, savoring a cold Pepsi and a bag of Lay’s original chips. Her home-cooked meals were legendary, especially her sweet potato pie.
Lonnie Pearl McClam will be remembered for her honesty, generous spirit, and deep devotion to her family. She took great pride in her gardening, which brought joy to her and those around her along with delight to her beloved goldfish.
Mrs. Lonnie was blessed with seven wonderful children: Terry (Barbara) McClam, Charles McClam, Clary McClam, Brenda McClam, Jerry McClam, David (Miranda) McClam, and Jason McClam. She also had a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
